These videos were taken 3/3/2010. This mule has not been ridden since the Columbia Jubilee Walking Horse Show in the Walking Mule Champtionship. She won with rider Danny Hughes who is a great walking horse trainer. This has been almost 3 years. Just look how she retains her training and she is also barefooted. |

U R My Sunshine U R my Sunshine, a 6 year old Walking mule made her big debut in Bishop, CA and did outstanding with two different exhibitors. Crystal Ward (pictured body clipping Sunshine, who never moved during the experience), showed her in the Gaited Mule Halter Class and placed 3rd out of 22 mules. Justin Hammerlin, from Fresno, CA who had never ridden a gaited mule, showed Sunshine the Gaited Trail Pleasure (3rd), Ginger Ale Party Class (7th), and in the Gaited English Pleasure Class required to canter (5th). Both Crystal and Justin did a great job with this very talented, young mule. Watch for her in the upcoming years and at Shelbyville, TN in the 4 and under. You can head or heel on him, rope cattle in or out of the pen as well as sort and work your cows on the ranch. He is quiet around them and you can easily gather, sort, push, and work cattle off of him. He’s very quiet in the box as well as quite on the ground. He is easy to ride, very responsive, soft mouth can move and pick up shoulders, as well as pivot, side pass, quietly lope off, nice stop and great attitude. This mule also has a very smooth flat walk! This is a very unique and special mule! In over 30 years in the business he is a first for us and we would love to have 1,000 more that are broke as quiet as he is as well as good looking and gentle!
